The T20 World Cup-winning Indian cricket team returned to India after their historic victory in Barbados, greeted by hundreds of fans at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport despite a drizzle. Captain Rohit Sharma lifted the trophy amid cheers. The team flew on a specially arranged Air India flight and was welcomed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. How Air India operated the special flight for Team India from Barbados

BCCI had been trying to organise special charter to fly back the team, players' family members and others from India who were there for the World Cup which India had won last Saturday. They were originally supposed to fly Emirates but all flights to and from Barbados were cancelled due to the hurricane.
