Qatar beat Japan 3-1 to win Asian Cup for the first time

Almoez Ali scored a spectacular overhead kick for a record 9th goal of the tournament to set Qatar on their way to a first Asian Cup triumph with a stunning 3-1 win. The victory was celebrated wildly by thousands of Omanis who had turned out to support Qatar in absence of their own fans, who were unable to travel because of a deep political rift with UAE.
